And not really knowing much about battery lawnmowers.

But I would suggest battery is better than petrol for you. Petrol is a bit of a faff and you aren't gonna needs lots of power to get round your little rectangle.

I just think if I don't have to arse about with cords then I'd be more inclined to cut it on a regular basis

You have to buy some stuff and store it and keep it topped up etc. I assume with a battery, you can just leave the battery pack charging somewhere. Do you have power in your shed? Because if not, you're gonna have to keep the battery charged in your house. How likely is that going to happen?

Can't you just pay a gardener to come and care for the whole thing? Probably only cost you £20 a month.
