Unless the manager thinks he is a marked improvement on what they already have then it's a good signing.

The other thing, "what they need" as you allude to, lots of time to sort that one out if need be.

He's definitely got the physical attributes. Not sure how good he is on the ball under pressure. He's quite similar to Ramires at Chelsea.

Doubt Bale will ever have a better season than last.

I don’t think I have used to word amazing at any stage today in any sport or non-sport related conversation.

The lad is a 24 year old Brazilian international, ¤17m is not a lot of money really. You need to snap out of the Arsenal way of thinking.

We’re allegedly though probably not offering just shy of 50% more again for a German lad with a name that lends itself to comedy.

It has to be built on the same site as the current stadium. They plan to play in it when it's only 3/4's built. They have to demolish the old one before it can be finished.

But I have no f**kign idea of how they intend to spend the money.

I would assume that if they sell their best player they will at very least re-invest in players to grow the squad. Selling that player and using it for bricks and mortar and the long-term betterment of the club won't go down well I would imagine.

Levy has shown himself not afraid to bring playes in. They did so last summer and got very close to us.

Resulting in an extra 20m or whatever it is revenue each season, a sustained period of qualification would help hugely as it would open up commercial avenues.

They are also prone to selling which helps, lot of money last summer for Modric, this summer for Bale allied with a good reinvestment in some quality players.

They’re a joke side in their almost annual valiant failure but I can see them making it one year. They’re actually not a bad side.

or not and go through the pain of tiny revenues and fall even further behind
