with the prospect of not being able to watch a single ball of an Ashes series. :-(

I'm trying to sell this situation to myself as liberating, but it's not easy.

fortunately there are not that many Aussies over here - apart from the feckers who all seemed to be out on Saturday afternoon

FFS their batting line-up is more fagile than ours.

Mind you, they have the "best bowling attack in world cricket" :yikes:

notice of the bowling effort on a flat-track at Taunton. Bearing in mind they probably put up a better effort recently against South Africa than we did, the complete over-confidence is somewhat misplaced (though they have list Hussey and Ponting since then). MInd you, if we produced turning wickets we would win all 5 Tests in three days, weather permitting :-)

what with all the Pietersen **** flying around.

Also, don't forget that we were well on top in the second test (ruined by the weather) and only lost the third due to the rate we needed to score at.

We ought to win the series comfortably - obviously that doesn't mean we necessarily will.

unless you have a very modern one with DAB....which I don't

Berni, you can buy day passes for Sky sports channels now....if that helps?

they were totally trashing the Aussie side in for a few weeks beforehand then with about a week to go remembered they were supposed to be taking the piss out of the Poms and got behind their boys. The fact that they held the upper hand after the first three days of the series just made things better

records of the players involved. Hopefully Berni and I will be missing session after session of Cook and Trott batting :-)

Might depend on Broad's fitness anyway .This young Mills was getting people excited yesterday - 94mph and a left-armer to boot

Add in that Aussie Rules/League is the top sport, with cricket or football next and Union down the list. Can't wait for Sat, or the Ashes

which was fairly repectable at about 85-88 mph after a day in the field for a youngster.

I think Essex are pretty excited about him, but don't want to put too much pressure on him so have eased him in to the team over the last couple of years.

he can try and take the fat lad's head off if he wants, they can't pick him if he's injured.
