Lords they wouldn't have a clue what was going on.

The way American politicans set out their policies reminds me of how one might explain politics to a child.

In short, I believe that American politics pander to the lowest common denominator - which, let's face it, is a vast population of almost feral people.

In Great Britain, we just keep it pretty high level, safe in the knowledge that the scum don't care what goes on anyway.

with only a couple of hot points of separation, so those hot points are intensely talked about. I agree American politics is very simplistic and it drives me bonkers. The media does no favors either giving both sides equal credit even when one side outright lies continually. (See Romney campaign)
