wonderful dark English beer over here in Noggie supermarkets lately, and Spitfire is won of the brands I've had a fair few of recently. It's quite nice. Is it by chance won of your favourites?

I also very much enjoy Doom Bar and Old Speckled Hen, but the latter makes me fall over quite rapidly.

la, Frimley or Berni are your founts of wisdom for beer advice.

actually the better for being a tad weaker. I actually dented my ale-drinking qualifications in Devon the other week by opting for cider a lot of the time - proper cider mind as it was the right place to do so. I think I am too used to quaffing German beer, the ale seems to upset my stomach

From the Shepherd Neame collection, who are one of the bestest brewers around

This one is a particular favourite of mine in a bottle

If you are ever in the Westminster area this is one of their pubs. Has the whole range

Obviously a bit far for you to travel. I am missing it now :-(

I was feeling no pain at all.

I've actually avoided OSH in recent years because of the effects. I'll give it another go in light of your info.
