Just to add to my generally disreputable demeanour, the restaurant last night did this rather lovely

thing where they shallow-fried all sorts of little choppped up vegetabley bits until crispy. So there was a mix of onion, chilli, ginger and - you guessed it - wafer thin slivers of garlic.

I found this mixture more-ish and delicious. The only slight problem is that I simply reek to high heaven today. People are actually recoiling from me. :-(
