I have spent the past three days eating toast and marmite in a bid to re-enact the burnt mouth of your youth that must be soothed by tea and I believe that it cannot be done.

I have tried many different tones of toast and have generated a very fast application and gorge method, but still it is never hot enough to have a mouth-roof-burning-effect.

Is the roof of your mouth made of marshmallow, sir?

However, I urge you to try again using thickly cut bread, well toasted so that the edges are rough and sharp enough to cut. The Marmite should also be thickly applied, so that there is plenty to get into the lesions and sting like a *******.

I admire your efforts in this arena and urge you to persevere. The rewards are great.
