That Almodovar one about the flight stewards is supposed to be great too

Wonderful how when you're watching a good sub-titled movie just how quickly you fall into the film and don't even realise you're reading

it does somewhat ruin comedys though, when the punchline is on the screen before the joke has been delivered

I concur, though I did try and watch my favourite miyazaki film at the weekend with my six year old only to realise it was subtitled and 90 minutes to quick reading was probably too much for someone who spells fashion "fashun"

when they are announcing the winner of some TV show and you read it before they say it

in fact when there are no subtitles it's unusual for me now.

It's my girlfriends doing as she said it's good for her English.

Strange doesn't even begin to describe it, I was pissing about with my Sky box the week & managed to record Broadwalk Empire with it on.

Funny as f**k listening to the voice of a classically trained actor describe what's going on on screen especially the sex scenes. :hehe:

She used to watch everything with subtitles on as it was easier for her to read than listen to different dialects and pick out all of the words enough. As her English has got better and better though she doesn't need subtitles at all anymore.

I sometimes speak to others in my other voice.

How you say? basic.
