and as for the media ****fest over Mourinho's first interview since taking the Chelsea job  I hope he fails, epically

This summer he could have threatened to see out his contract, meaning that he would have received a large chunk of that transfer fee himself in higher wages

even @80m Spurs would struggle to build a new team imo considering they are a one man team... and they do not have a unlimited reservoir of money like Man****ty or Chelsea to cull expensive failures..

his gimmick is well and truly past it imo.

Plus this is all a matter of convenience. He doesn't really want to be there imo. And Abramovich doesn't want him but it's right time right place for both imo. It will all end in tears for them.

And Rafa got the europa league.

He didn't win either of those in his previous stint.

much closer to his worth, I'd suggest that spurs would actually struggle to turn down any offer over £40m

They need a new stadium desperately and need to start raising cash soon as there appears to Russian billionaire that fancies them and paying for the stadium

You could fit a pitch in the collection area easy.

Just waiting for the first "scathing attack" to come from rent a quote after a journalist cheekily tees up a question such as "what do you think about the fact that Arsenal still haven't won a trophy since you've been away?"

I'm hoping that WHEN it happens, Wenger says something like "the teams he has been in charge of manage themselves, which is why a series of caretaker managers were able to come in and win more than he was able to"

Wenger should ignore him.

Potential new manager battles this season.
Jose v AVB.

Pellegrini v Jose.

I don't think Moyes will get too mouth just yet.

I struggle to imagine Moyes dictating that he wants to spend 30m on player X and pay him 220k a week.

He doesn't have the gravitas to be their manager imo

I am surprised Giggs hasn't called it a day.

Or will it be him who will be actually running the team :rubchin:

That'd be weird. Would he try to squeeze Everton by getting the best price, or still have some feelings for the old club and agree to pay whatever they ask? Would he want to take Everton's best players knowing that his old Everton fans might turn on him?
