Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger concedes he made a 'huge mistake' in failing to sign Gareth Bale. Wenger was tracking the Tottenham winger back at Southampton but chose Walcott.

He was a LB at the time and we had Cole and Gibbs.

We also didn't sign Ronaldo as we wouldn't front up the extra cash Man Utd offered, and we didn't sign Messi because we couldn't get a Work Permit for him.

We're not going to sign every player that turns out to be brilliant, it's just never going to happen.
