Think about the things that can be ready slightly in advance and just kept warm.

I think coffee is okay for a little while, most people let it cool before drinking. Then the beans will retain their heat in the pan without drying out or anything for a while. Sausages are good for that as well. And then bacon to a slightly lesser extent. The things you want to be ready at the moment you serve are the toast and the eggs imo.

I've resorted to putting the sausage and bacon in foil whilst everything else is ready.

With the electric stove the beans are a pain as if you turn the heat off it stays hot for ages and the beans start to go thick and stick to the pan :banghead:
If you take them off the heat they seem to cool down too much.

I'll put them in the microwave next time.

I put the beans on at the beginning on a super low heat. By the time everything is ready they are hot, but as I never took the stove to a high heat, I don't have to worry about it taking ages to cool down whilst leaving the beans on there.

Whilst you do the time critical stuff like eggs. And warm plates too.

Plus I think Fash had his oven on hot to do his hash browns.

Beans should be left to the professional hash-slinger. The correct application of the sausage dam should not be attempted lightly, many years of training are necessary.

No, I predict that if you continue down this road you will end up with bean juice infesting your egg.

Only fry what you have to, bacon and sausages can both sit in the grill keeping warm. Beans/tomatoes are fine to microwave, do it in a large mug for better pouring. Waffles are always welcome on the fry up plater, far superior to chips in this instance.

Obviously, use the sausages as a breakwater against the bean juice.

I only have a small kitchen and when I moved in I was living alone. So I decided to not have a microwave so I could avoid the temptation to purchase those ghastly microwave meals the local Tesco claims to be dinner.

May I suggest Cornelius Vermuyden, he's very keen to right the wrongs he committed by making parts of essex habitable for humans.

You're right though, those lonely microwave meals are evil.

Tiny east Anglian people could wade around amongst your egg yolk keeping the run offs clear.

when you are mixing them up.

But when you want to do a fried egg they love to break and ruin it :furious:

last night. Yet you only need to think about moving them in a frying pan and they break.

Maybe it still does. It's been a while since I was last there but it used to be the best commercially-available breakfast available imo.

Tomato halves take about the same time to grill as bacon. As Marve said, do beans on a very low heat and they're easy to control.

Egg tip: finish off the tops under the grill to cook the white while leaving the yolk soft. Saves either spooning a ton of oil over (I'd rather fry in butter anyway) or risking disaster by flipping them.

No beanjuice.
