JR Vegas. Current movie review. The Great Gatsby (2013)

For once a movie that's actually in the Cinema.

Firstly why does it take so long for the people to serve people in Cinema's I can't see why putting some drink in a cup or popcorn in a box takes so long.

On to the movie.

far too long. decent cast, All the background and effects looked so fake it almost looked like a cartoon.

a movie set in 1920's with a Jay Z soundtrack :rolleyes:

Wasn't the worst movie though.

and yet Redford's 74 version and this one are about 2.5 hrs a piece. :yawn:

The film is so specifically marketed at women that you get a free tampon with your 3D glasses.

And, let's be honest here, whilst single sex marketed stuff is almost always horrible, trite and insultingly lowbrow, women actually get worse stuff specifically marketed to them. At least we get car chases, explosions and tits.
