remember him leaving his studs in on Adams - which was actually quite a brave thing to do. Also dived for a penalty, possibly in that same match

News came through that liverpool were losing.

That it iddnt make a great deal of difference. Still had to win at anfield if we had won, although at that point we didnt know liverpool would hammer the hammers.

I was strangely confident of winning at anfield as soon asi knew it needed to be 2-0. Clearest feeling i have ever had in football that all would be ok.

coming out of the North Bank for the latter it was more a case of f**k it we gave it a go rather than f**k it we've blown it

Everything about the anfield game felt right. I musthave had about 20 quid's worth of bets on us doing it. Never done that before or since.

Winterburn scored a screamer with his right foot against wimbledon. It was just weird
