Let me start with Hayse 1-0 vs middlesbrough away in 1989

Massive late winner and without that goal then the night at Anfield would have been pointless.

HAYSE!!!

He'd stand there looking as if he'd blow over in a strong breeze, awkwardly shoot, half-stumbling and suddenly the ball would be in the net and you'd wonder how he did it...

The he was replaced by KEVIN CAMPBELL... one of those players where 10 times a match you'd think how rubbish he was and then...

He'd stand there looking like a brick sh1thouse, awkwardly shoot, half-stumbling and suddenly the ball would be in the net and you'd wonder how he did it...

He was playing for Purfleet and I was the under 18 keeper for Romford who got called up to the first team because of injuries...

Don't know how important it was though.

I have a very grainy video of Gilberto scoring from the corner with my crappy phone at the time.

Who knows how it would have went for Wenger if we'd lost that one.

It was Thomas who should have been dropped in 89 - and was, for possibly our best performance of the season at Everton. Doubt Davis would have had the legs for that goal at Anfield though
