the NAACP - the National Asociation for the Advancement of Colored People. Martin Luther King also spoke of colored people or people of color.

Just because black is the preferred term now rather than colored, it doesn't necessarily imply prejudice to use the word colored rather than black. It could equally be a generational slip trying to show respect.

I thought the fried chicken jibes from Garcia (or Zoeller in the past) were far more revealing and hinted at deeper prejudice and possibly racism than some middle-aged buffoon inadvertently and unknowingly saying colored rather than black.
