These seem more like two very confused individuals who have done something grotesque, crazed and horrific in a haze of confusion, maybe chemically induced? Even spouting jihadist slogans doesn't mean this was a planned terror attack. More likely troubled, confused people responding to voices in their heads. Tragic.

The reactions f the passers-by is equally troubling. Most of the people seem indifferent or inured to someone with blood-soaked hands holding knives and giving interviews next to a prone body.

Most people froze, I was at a bus stop 30m up the road and (conveniently) felt more like a detached observer than an active participant in the drama.
