Are we really in May? Britain hit by SNOW as 65mph winds sweep across the country and a month's worth of rain falls in just 24 hours

The 'proof' is all the temperature data showing that the world is getting warmer.

You're an idiot.

A couple of bull**** junk science books in the 70s is hardly the equivalent of just about every climate scientist in the world agreeing that the world is getting warmer.

Now grow up.

I used to see the lead singer every few weeks about 25 years ago.

He lived in Buckhurst hill and popped into the shop where we had offices. we had a side line with wine and he came in a bought a case every now and then.

Must admit, I did not think much of them then.

You know, the evidence collected by climate scientists, not the evidence distorted by some idiots trying to wish facts away.

Idiots with an agenda?

You might want to be a little more even-handedly cynical, tbh. There's clearly an agenda on both sides, and we're getting screwed as a result of it.

Frimmers

*not quite all, but it was something like 98 or 99%.

There are many politicians with various different agenda telling us all sorts of things, but the science of the matter is no longer really up for debate.

Besides, if you wanted to make money writing a climate science paper then your best bet would be to try and find evidence that anthropogenic global warming wasn't happening. Which is very difficult. Because it is.

There have been 13,950 peer-reviewed articles in the field since 1991, 24 have rejected AGW. 99.83% is a big majority imo.

Frimmers
05-15-2013, 03:06 PM
There'd be a lot more 'food on the table' for anyone who published a paper saying it wasn't happening - fame and fortune surely awaits anyone who could overturn such a widely held consensus.

Frimmers
05-15-2013, 03:08 PM
You win.

Frimmers
05-15-2013, 03:11 PM
Secondly, if you think that the weather in the UK today proves anything either way then you are just as f**king stupid as the UKIP pricks thinking that a bit of snow proves climate change isn't happening.

Might be a susceptibility/intolerance to variations in their habitat. :rubchin:

Now i can point to a lot of Pundits who disagree with climate change.

But Stuart Robson is a pundit too, remember.

err I mean counterfacts.

The only facts that exist these days are those that support preconceived opinions. Now THOSE facts? Ironclad.

And any scientist who published an anti-climate change paper in W's era would have been funded up the yazoo.
