"Our relationship got milder and more respectful that’s for sure," said Wenger. "Maybe because we were less in a fight with them [Man United] recently, so the tension was a bit smaller, and we are a long time in the job as well, so a bit more respect maybe."

Maybe we were less in a fight with them ???? No **** sherlock. We have been nowhere near being in the running for last 7 or 8 years !!!!!

Eduardo broke his leg on 23 Feb.....the season ended 11 May. We were out of the race in March ie nearly 2 months before season end. That is not a serious challenge !

I sure as hell would not have my squad filled with overpaid, incapables.

The problem is that everyone gets all rose tinted about wenger and his prowess for developing players.

For every Henry there is a Boa Morte, Wreh, Bendtner, Chamakh, Diawara, Jeffers etc. The fact is that there will always be some young players who make it and Wenger is no better or worse than any other manager in the top flight for developing players. Does anyone really think that Henry or Vieira would have been **** if they had been at manu or chelsea instead.

If we look back at the Carling Cup final team of 2005, most of them became no great shakes.

If you look back at top flight football in England there are two traits of successful teams. A good mix of youth and experience plus a solid ball winner in the middle of the pitch. As it happens our lean spell of the last 8 years coincides with us having neither.
