Giroud's runs looked quality at the beginning of the season, but those have all but dried up. Walcott still has the air of someone who has been caught full in the face with some pepper spray, and Cazorla hangs back way too much for my liking and doesn't make enough runs off the ball.

Where have the speedy one-twos on the edge of the box gone? All we seem to do these days is get it to the penalty box and hoof it over to Sagna in anticipation of another one of his dire crosses.

The swapping of positions between Podolski, Giroud and Walcott earlier in the season caused teams a lot of problems and, with Cazorla operating from a deeper position, created a potentially very fluid frontline.

A technically excellent forward, who can contribute as a playmaker and goalscorer, would come close to completing the attacking side of our game, but there aren't many of those around...
