Yes, they do sub all the time. I think they actually only play about 90 seconds. But the tempo is full blast sprint when they're on the ice. Hence imagine in the lower leagues, being short of players and having to play against a team that subs the whole squad every 90 seconds. :rolleyes:

Ice hockey is, surprisingly enough, a much "kinder" sport than football though. As they are protected well, and especially since their feet never get stuck to the ground like in football, you don't get the nasty joint injuries injuries to such an extent as football players do. You probably get concussion more often, though. A helmet won't help you much if your head gets a quick movement followed by a a quick stop.
