I have often noticed that football players can excuse a poor Saturday performance with "we were tired since we played a game on Wednesday."

In the NHL the playoff - after a season with a ****load of matches - consists of "best of 7 games" in the QF, SF and finals where they often play back to back days.

finals it's another potential 28 games. plus in the playoffs the games are much harder and people are playing with injuries.

Having played both it's hard to compare.

Though Ice hockey must be for poofs as they wear pads.

That said, I genuinely dont know whether it's tougher as I only ever played street hockey.

That is just knackering on your back, mostly.

puck. or some nutter hitting you.

Though I escaped pretty much injury free. apart from my missing tooth ripped gum, dodgy clicking hip and my knees are f**ked but apart from that it was fun.

leave you in a heap either because your lungs have imploded or because you've been trampled.

Is they just concentrated on one game they could have a fairly decently popular minor sport there.

That said, I played a fair bit of basketball as a kid and it was supremely knackering
