I appreciated this painting last saturday at the National Gallery:

I don't know much about art but I know what I like and what I like is beer.

Any other famous or not-so-famous paintings involving light and lager?

relates the absorption of light to the properties of the material through which the light is travelling.

They only have pints to satisfy the English crowds.

As they know a pint gets too warm in their climate before you have drunk it. Better to have 2 half pints than one whole one. And when you usually have table service in a pub, it doesn't matter that you need to get a round twice as often.
