that I would happily read/watch for free, there is literally nothing I would even contemplate paying for or that would persuade me to take out a subscription, even for a fiver a month.

The big question this presents is what can Arsenal do to attract discerning, intelligent (and slightly tight) chaps like myself to part with their money for AFC digital content?

I thought this is what happened anyway. Why does anyone even look at arse.com except to check fixtures?

To be fair, some of the stuff they put on there since the site revamp is actually pretty decent. Some entertaining long prose interviews and the like. No, seriously :-|

they dont invest more into what they produce, and also that what they do produce is so bland and irrelevant.

As soon as a club website publishes anything remotely newsworthy, and that could get picked up by other media (apart from official announcements about new player signings/sales/contract extensions) they have failed.

Now I've had some soul-destroying editorial jobs before, but can you imagine how unfulfilling that must be?

I dont think other forms of football content are ever going to be very interesting. And there are limits to how much detail they would want to go into about tactics, training methods, individual players etc...for obvious reasons.

Its for kids and nutters basically. Most of us just want to watch the games and then come on here and have a go at someone about it :-)
