In what other sport could a competitor take the year off and then win the biggest prize on offer at a virtual canter?

The semi between hawkins and walden was laughably bad and pretty indicative of where snooker is right now. A dismal tournament.

ever pick up a cue here. He was also fortunate that there were quite a few shock knockouts in the early rounds.

can cruise to world championship having had a year off.

i think bar selby, robertson and trump and ding and murphy ocassionally their real lack of true great young players at the top at the moment.

goldern era of early 00s where you had matthew stevens, paul hunter, mark williams, john higgins, and still strong strong stephen hendry. add to mentally strong ken dochetey and far more stronger back then.

also think 128 format barry hearn introudcing next year is very silly. No way will ronnie want to play that many tournaments knowing he have to many more matches to win. In my view only one be of intrest to him if he stay around is the worlds, the uk and the masters.

game also needs to look beyound ronnie. man won,t be around forever to save the sport and they need new younger generation and characters to move the sport on to the next level.
