But f**k it, enjoy anyway :hehe:

almost old fashioned. With winners and stuff on the pitch. And a bit of noise in the stadium

That said, I do like going to Old Trafford, it's a proper cathedral of football. One of the world's great stadiums.

Yes, yes, love the game etc, and it's an excuse for a few beers, but ultimately, you have to care a bit. Mind you, I did the Bolton play-off finals with a mate, they were a great crack.

Arsenal :hide: Actually I cheer on the Arse louder than some Gooners at the ground when I've had a few :hehe:

Quite liked it to be honest.

Paul Scholes scores goals and all that.

In many ways though I actually prefer football without the albatross of supporting the teams involved. You can actually enjoy the game much more that way.

Also, given there's no possibility we'll lose 8-2 this time, it's strangely liberating.

I find going there is mainly depressing, it's just not highbury.

Emirates doesn't imo.

It's just odd, the whole place is just silent just waiting it for it to be over and the relief when we actually win.

You can feel it. It's not 'Great we won' it's 'thank god we won that's all over time for next week' or 'f**k sake we didn't win'

Though you've admitted that you dont really like football in general so I suspect we might be coming at it from different angles.

I'll watch it on the box no bother, or down the pub, but it doesn't do it for me live really. Especially lower league football. Interminably dull.

As for OT vs Emirates, yeah you can compare the two, but your point was that OT was a great football cathedral. I disagree, I find in largely dull, it's just big. Emirates can be equally dull and souless but then I'm not trying to claim it's anything but.

Craven Cottage is ace. I prefer football grounds than stadiums, generally. OT is still a ground but doesn't seem to have retained much of the charm some of these other grounds have.
