below and advise me to whether there was anything on display at the Royal International Air Tattoo that I should make a particular effort to see. There are still weekly updates until the show starts, but there's a fair amount there now, as you'll see.

I thought that Italian Air Force Typhoon could be worth a look. Only ever seen the RAF ones.

The Typhoon should also be fun.

Of them all, the Vulcan will be the best thing on the card.

nowhere and it isn't until she goes into a steep, spiraling climb and you hear the howl from her 4 Rolls Royce Olympus engines (which set off all of the car alarms in the car park) that you realise what an immense bird she is. Rumour has it that this will be her last summer in the air :-(

The USAF haven't confirmed what they'll be sending yet. It was a B2 Spirit last year so I'm very much hoping for a B1 Lancer this time. Perhaps a Mig from the Poles, too.

I dunno, liking airshows, being fascinated with Real Ale far too long before you should, not doing drugs despite going to all manner of clubs.

It's just not right

I'm obsessing now. Hungry.

Before You Die book a couple of years ago. It's not just about ales, in fact, real ale makes up but a small percentage of the beers in the book. I've certainly had my eyes opened by it, though. I'd just be a wino if it wasn't for this. It gives my drinking a purpose.

As for the planes - I think they're just big boys' toys, no? Elegant, fast, loud etc - I've always marveled at how they harness the laws of physics to perform such miraculous feats.

I have tried drugs now anyway. It's just not something I can make a habit of considering my choice of career. In fact, last summer was a one off. It shan't be repeated.

What are our options, do you think? Bear in mind we'll be three parts pissed by the time we get there.

There's IWM, of course. Or Hendon.

so there's definitely a link there. IWM's near no where, really, isn't it? We'd have to consider utilising the tube :yikes:

We could always sack the pretence off. Lunch, then sit in a bar and piss the afternoon away.
