deep down. I think snooker needs to cope eventually without ronnie. He won,t be forever and it news new generation to take the game forward.

some will hope judd trump beats ronnie for that reason.

I appreciate this is completely f**king irrelevant but it is the sort of nonsensical *******s people come out with at times like this.

the itv documentary about his life. Wondeful player but i think long term snooker needs to move on without him. If its to survive it can,t just rely on one player forever. Snooker moved on when alex higgins retired and must do with ronnie.

Needs like of young talent like judd trump and michael white to take it to next level.

Barry hern not helping the game though by having all 128 players starting against each other before tv starts showing the matches. Means it be harder for more shocks and less developing of big names.

is deep down he not very likeable person but on table he a genius. Alex higgins was just the same.

Jimmy white is most likeable of the three characters and i met him once when he came to local snooker club and he could not have been any nicer.

He is a snooker player so for that fact alone I have basically no interest in him.

the real ronnie is. I don,t think anyone does either and even maybe ronnie does not himself. Deep down though its worry for the sport is that without ronnie it looks so lost.

Golf coped when tiger woods waned and football copes when messi out. Snooker needs to show it can survive without ronnie. :rubchin:

as bbc steve davis noted that the game can show it does not need just one player to keep it in the public eye. Any serious sport can cope without one player.

in this tournament. Trump for me is the next potential world champion and we win it if he can get past ronnie. The draw lopsided with best two players in one half and then two journeyman in warden vs hawkins.

it like a one half of a draw being real vs barca and other half being norwich vs stoke. :hehe:
