In surfing the web I came across some old stories. This was one from May 2001, quoting Patrick Vieira:
"When you want to be a big team you cannot afford to lose your best players. When you want to be a big team you cannot afford to lose your best players. You cannot release the likes of Emmanuel Petit and Marc Overmars. The FA Cup final was the symbol of our season. If we had scored a second goal we would have won, but we didn't. All year we kept losing big matches."
Seems like 12 years later the same old arsenal. The only good thing is that this year we have no players good enough for any of the top clubs to care about our players. THe other positive is that 3 years after that quote we were the invincibles. Dare we live in hope ?
