and he bases it on a article in a french newspaper. There no way in my view arsene will go to psg this summer. He commited till at least 2014 and thats it.

would write such a big claim without checking if it was true for certain or even checking with arsenal or the manager.

What even more odd is he even admits that psg in the article might not attract arsene at all. He uses the words sources but has no quotes at all to back it up.

So for me his title of his article could be seen as misleading.

I am amazed he would let that go to print without checking with arsene or pg owners. :rubchin:

But often when you read the article the real stuff emerges. What he done is said psg are confident but when you read the article he does not seem sure if they are.

from days ago when he did a press conference. not recent ones. Those quotes say nothing about him leaving. Arsene maintained he had contract till 2014 and thats it

Paul has no recent on sources but their is no quotes. So i think it pretty weak to say your confident without knowing for sure.

think you can get the man. Loads of clubs have wanted arsene. But big difference in thinking your get him.

I would fear this more if they had source from arsenal saying that worried about keeping arsene this summer. They don,t. Don,t be suprised if arsene in few days time slams this article.

The point about the Wenger story is that PSG are desperate to hire him and believe they will. Now the fun bit starts.

So he admits in another case of club wanting arsene but not any sign he tried to contact arsenal or arsene to see if anything will come of this.

Come on paul. :redcard:

arseblog who respected blogger thinks article makes no sense. he said this on twitter

Wenger's contract runs until 2014. It's not 'optional'.

Telegraph got history here. They wrote about a 1.5bn takeover from a ‘middle eastern consortium’ on the eve of the North London derby. Nothing came to pass

I hate to think a broadsheet would resort to easy headline stories like the tabolids.

In the end the writer admitted its all from psg end and not arsenal. so pretty weak that if you ask me.

without checking with arsenal or having seen arsene say twice as confirmed by arseblog that he staying till at least end of his contract. Arsene denied this clearly. This is what arseblog said.

He was asked about on Saturday after the game, and said:

I’m preparing for the next match and next season with Arsenal. I’ve always seen my contracts through, and it’s not at my age that I’m going to change.
And a few months ago, he denied a similar story, saying:

I have also been linked with the job. But I’ve already got a job and I’m trying at this moment to re-establish the order of my “own house” because everything is not all right there. I’m concentrated on that, and nothing else. For my part, I must show loyalty to my employers, my club and my contract. I still have one and half years of work to do at Arsenal.

So their it is. No chance him leaving before 2014. I am not saying arsene might not leave next year but no chance this summer.

chooses when he leaves. Arsene commited till 2014 and he stick to his word like he done at his previous clubs. Key is getting arsene to sign new four or five year contract over the next year. :-)

stay with arsenal, with an average squad, no real money to make drastic changes, finishing top 4 is the best you can achieve and still gets criticism, while destroying your legacy here

or go to PSG have a limitless budget, buy whoever you want and have a go at the CL that you never managed to win, winning the CL is after all every top managers dream.

i just find it remarkable it took him so many years to jump ship, he's been insanely loyal

modd
04-30-2013, 09:18 AM
then if he win things for us he stay here as he never have the same power or infulence anywhere but arsenal.

I don,t think he go to psg as he would want same power as he has at arsenal and i don,t think he get that a billonaire play thing.

So he going nowhere for now.

its better to be a mananger/coach for a world class side that can win stuff, rather than have power and influence over a club going nowhere.

remember wenger is a football manager, he has dreams, he wants to win the CL, his dream wasn't to have power and influence or be some sort of an administrator that runs a club for kroenke.

this is why RVP left, this is why fabregas left, and this is why wenger will go, these people have a career to look after.

be realistic modd

wherever he goes and he just won,t have that at psg or arsenal. if he did not win champions league in first few year their he be sacked. As sam wallace of guardian said arsene joining psg would be like him joining the dark side.

He might be able to win over their but he too long in the tooth now to want to bow down to demands of a billionaire

He got everything he wants at arsenal in terms of control and power. so why walk out on that.

But i do see your point as well.

this isnt a hobby for him, never forget that.

he gets paid to do a job, wenger aint from north london, he wasnt a gooner, he managed several clubs in france, he managed in england and japan,

as loyal and dignified the man has been, he is a profesional manager, a fantastic one as well.

has few years left in his career, he needs to maximise that in sporting terms.

but i'm being realistic here. the PSG project is in his country, which he probably misses after so many years abroad, its an exiting project that can create french footballing history and he can fulfil personal ambition, ie the CL.

its just to much to turn down pope, even for some one like le boss

btw i obviously hope he stays, the man is genius

This is all Tottenham....Rememeber the dirty work about the Arabs buying us right before the Spurs game. Same when they got the press to rile Arsene at the press conference.

Trying to destabalise us before big games...know its their only hope to stop us getting 6 points off of two relegated clubs (wigan will be just that by the time we play them).

Wenger is going nowhere. He's Arsenal. If he leaves then its to retire.

There's no glory in managing PSG....he knows full well that if he can get 1 superstriker he's got the League won next year.

the probabilities of him moving to france are there, the man is only human.

i think how his team from 2010 has been destroyed by economically stronger clubs must have put doubt in his mind.

its what dortmund are going to go through soon. creating a top team for it to be destroyed is demoralising, i think he really believed in that project after 2006 as the way to compete.

Their is no way arsene will leave before 2014. Whether the stays is up to him and he decide that base on how next season goes i think.
