Oh dear, how classless and embarrassing. If any other manager had made such a statement about RvP while he was plundering goals left, right and centre in an Arsenal shirt last season we would have called him a prick, and rightly so.

I agree that goals from penalty shoot-outs are in a different bracket, but penalties in standard play count just the same - and when the 'scorer' is the player fouled I think there's even less of an argument.

I wish he would go fourth and multiply, I really do.....

You do accept though that if he had scored one of his chances from open play, that would have been harder to swallow for an Arsenal fan than him scoring the penalty, which Valencia could have just as easily scored from?
