He's been excellent for us but for the last two seasons his performance has dropped very noticeably.

Hear me out.....if his role was defined specifically as a defensive one the we would see the best of him ie as a centre half vs Sunderland where he was outstanding...a Cannavaro like performance....

At right back for us he has to do way too much attacking that he's just out of position constantly and f**ks up far too often....
