If Chelsea lose to Spurs and win their other 3 games they get 9 points and finish on 74 points, if spurs win their remaining 4 games they get 12 points and finish on 74 points. If we win our remaining 3 games we get 9 points and finish on 73.

That was spuds in the 5-2 when they were down to 10 men. And they have beaten us since that game 2-0.
Giroud has only scored once away and Plodolski twice.
Their only goals against top 4 opponents were in the spuds game.
So it's obvious that we need to buy some new players to improve our results next season and not get carried away by the unbeaten run of this present workman like side,in which they have had more than a little good fortune at times.
The fact is though that they came up short in the two hardest home games against Everton and a below par United team ,even with a goal start.

Another factor that could play a part in what decides the final 2 places is match officials decisions. No one can be sure about what they will do.

We didn't look that great against 10 man Fulham - so I will stick with my view that 3 points are no shoo-in away to Newcastle.
They always seem to be fired up when we play them.
