United have benefited from calls like that all season, though. That's what makes it even more astonishing to see Ferguson berating the 4th official on the sideline when Nani fouls an Arsenal player to get the ball (not called), then is cleanly knocked off the ball should to shoulder by Ramsey further downfield (an appropriate non-call).

He needed to win that ball cleanly if it resulted in up-ending the player.

I accept the contact was minimal and it was understandable that the ref missed it, but the fact remains it technically wasn't a foul. Then again, our goal was offside. :shrug:

The fact his stud barely brushed the ball doesn't make it questionable.

That challenge is 99.9% foul and 0.1% legitimate tackle.
