View Full Version : It has been very popular of late to defend Suarez by arguing

that a leg breaking tackle is worse. Yes, it is. And no, he does not deserve a harsher punishement than someone who don't mind ending a fellow footballers career. But it does not, imo, alter the fact that Suarez actions are infantile and very silly. And there WAS a lot of attention when Taylor and Shawcross went around breaking legs.

As he clearly hasn't learned how to control himself on a football pitch

Going up to someone and biting them, completely unprovoked, could never be construed as being 'part of the game'

And fair enough, imo. He got 7 for biting and 7 for racism, still hasn't learned, so now they have given him 10.

I think they're tired of him.

The hysteria and OTT reaction to LS' bite are .....errrr....OTT

I would argue that the ref saw it, gave a red card, so matter over is nowhere near appopriate when lumbering oafs like Shawcross and Taylor do what they did.

The media, the FA and Joe Public have got their knickers in way too much of a twist

When Bitegate kicked off I just thought to myself:

That's Suarez for you....no big deal

And that's the level we've reached with him. This sort of behaviour is just him. Its the footballing extension of the wind ups we see on AWIMB. Its just Suarez. Great player. I think he just needs to grow up a bit and he'll stop doing the silly things he does.

I think its time the FA look at a different way to clamp down on these sort of offences. Perhaps offer a Rewards scheme for good behaviour?

10 games for having a small bite on a grown man? how do they justify this? it is way beyond proportion, this is the same FA that was happy defoe got away with a yellow card for the same offence.

absolute garbage

so i can break the leg of an opponent or at least put him out for few weeks with a reckless tackle, and i'd get 3 game ban for that, then suarez takes a little bite on that man mounten ivanovic, who continues with the game with out any difficulties and suarez gets 10 games ban? insanity imo

i've been a fan since that quarter final in south africa, when he did what he needed to do, to take his country to the semis, i love that sort of commitment.

chopped down a player as last man and walked off before the red card was out of the ref's pocket. The Old Trafford cro magnons applauded him off. "Took one for the team".

*******, imo. Cynical ******* who knows not what gentlemanship and fair play is. Same as Suarez did in Sarf Effrika. Cheated Ghana out of the cup.

btw, i wouldn't say he cheated ghana out of the cup, i prefer he kept uruguay in it, and thats what his country will love him for. just like liverpool fans love him for scoring goals for them.

i'm a fan,
