They were miles ahead of everyone few years ago but they decelined and everyone therefore has caught up. Not improved their defence. not really found replacements for xavi and inesta who are getting on a bit and not found some fresh strikers.

They are going to have to start spending big now as other clubs like psg, man city, us, madrid, man united, bayern of this world are catching them up

them out we would have done with them at their peak. We were only team to have beaten them that year. They were awesome from then on in knocking out real and man u with ease. But since summer of 2011 they gone downhill and only bought central midfielders like cesc and song they hardly play and player in sanchez who been average buy. Only alba plays for them a lot and proved decent signing. But not invested in world class defenders or goalkeepers.

They not learnt the lesson that to stay on top in europe you need to always improve and keep the workrate up.

That means learning to cross a ball. Having center backs they can deal with crosses and tough tackling central midfielders. It also means top goal keeper who can learn to be consitant level which vades no longer can be.
