View Full Version : Does anyone really want to finish 4th? I prefer wholesale changes.

This side is so clearly the 5th best side in the league, and I can't imagine AW creating title winners with this lot. Finishing 4th can assuredly get us the same weak signings and no sense of urgency. Maybe losing our beloved 4th place trophy will light a fire under upper management.

While I think we're a bit of a way off from challenging for the title, how do you calculate we're the fifth-best in league?

People always say you should strengthen when in a strong position, build on success, not to get complacent etc so let's get into CL and go on from there*

* Granted will need a change of summer policy from recent years

we will be lucky enough, not good enough to nick 4th if it happens. We need to sign top players and quit expecting players like Jack and Theo to carry the side to greatness. Those two haven't proven **** and are treated like stars.

The entire club and its fans have become way too comfortable fighting for 4th every year. Some understand that you deserve better.

and to be honest you'd of thought the board would of got more of a grip since 2006!....getting 4th in 2006 was all down to a dodgey lasagne if ya ask me!....since then it's been like this for seven years!

More underwhelmed than unimpressed. But IF we get top-four this season, how is it that for the past five years we've fluked it? Last year we finished third for a start, it's not a fluke. Too easy to jump on bandwagon slamming us all the time.

Btw, agree with Walcott, played in wrong position, but will never make it for us as he's not consistent enough. Has done nothing since signing new contract, should have got rid.

i have to agree with Wenger from january, not many players better then ours available
we are not going to pay the amount of money city and united will pay for cavani/falcao
meaning we no longer compete for top tier players

We're signing and bringing in players in their prime, no more kids. Have been for some time. We just have to quit losing our best players every year.
