itself was nothing but a pig-circus. Wycombe had clearly decided to do a neighbour a favour and barely bothered to compete. (both teams completely stunk the place out btw).
A word about Edgar Davids. When Barnet were awarded a free kick just behind the D, Davids stood over the ball preparing to take the kick and then feinted to kick the ball, at which point a Wycombe defender broke from the wall by about two yards, before stopping when he realised Davids hadn't actually touched the ball.
Davids, who had been bullying the Ref all match, pointed at the Wycombe player and made the card gesture to the ref. Amazingly, the spineless **** of a ref duly obliged and carded the Wycombe man instead of carding Davids for unsporting/ungentlemanly/****ish behaviour.
