It's hardly 9-11 or 7-7, is it

It appears to be a couple of rank amateur chechen's on a budget, attempting to curry favour with al-queda.

Thai curry isn't an issue. Or Malaysian curry; I bow to no man in my appreciation of a slow cooked beef rendang. Why, I even toast my coconut flakes.

However, the idea of making an Indian curry at home seems to me evil and wrong. Just the thought of someone else doing it makes me feel a bit queasy. It's not the result that bothers me, it's the very act.

Odd.

All the more satisfying, making it yourself..
If I'm felling a bit indolent, I'll resort to the Loyd Grossman balti jars. The best sauces by a country mile..

As I say, it isn't the result which offends, it's the act.

Are you sure you made me curry? Was I pissed?

Little did I know you were entirely serious. In your contempt. Harumph!

And you were definitely pissed at some stage.

Never, ever try to make me eat home-cooked curry again. Capisce?

immigrants from the sub-continent. If by 'Indian' you refer to second-generation 'Indians' living, for example, in Chislehurst, then no, sorry. I'd have nightmares for a week.

Talking of which, I saw an Eastern European type outside a Thai restaurant dressed in chef's whites and smoking a fag. There and then I decided never to eat at that restaurant. Ludicrous, really. After all, there can't be that many Thais to go around in the UK.

a chinese restaurant in Corby where I was greeted by the east-Asian looking owner in confident Polish. The menu was also in Polish, and the beer offerings were Tsing Tao or Wzychwora.

So. Now we know. The wiley chinee and the Pole are ganging up on us.
