goals that Van Persie scores, but then Van Persie wouldn’t score the kind of goal Giroud scored against, say, Liverpool at the Emirates.
I think our definition of “clinical finishing” is too narrow. To me, using your physicality and aerial power in the way Giroud did against Liverpool *is* being clinical, in the sense that it is using your attributes to capitalise on an opportunity.

Put giroud through on goal and i dont trust him much. But i take your point that maybe we should be putting theo through on goal and creating a different type pf chance for giroud.
The rest of his game is pretty good and one can stil lscore plenty of goals without being a top class finisher.
but he a c**t thats for sure

Not like there is a massive leap involved either
but yets see how giroud develops as a player over next few years. He is younger then robin so got time to improve
as he showed against the scum for united at white hart lane this season.

I assume this choice of words was deliberate.
If you take that goal as a specific example, van Persie in his Arsenal days would have taken the free.
A bizarre piece of education from Monty I must say though we should of course be grateful for it.
