Suffers from the usual problem that most museums suffer from. It’s all crockery and little sticks that look like toothpicks or tools.

Some of the sections are all jumbled up. And in order to attract the ‘yoof’ element they have some sad teenagers dressed up in jogging gear talking about how the Romans man dem used to live and ting.

Rubbish.

4 out of 5

If that real thing were a poorly made model set next to one of those old seventies reflecty fires and using less dry ice than a lilliputian Cure gig,

liked the victorian shopping bit. very good.

but then there were exhibits that were poor.

Here is an apple computer. 'oh is that made in London?' No
but it represents people working in the City

If you want a small museum in London try the Soames, it's got the entirety of Hogarth's Rakes Progress FFS! And some flunky in white gloves talks you though it, it's ace.

My favourite bit was the comments board on the slavery part of the museum - such as "whites weren't the only slavers, you know" and "what's that got to do with London's docks".

Hamusing.

I think it's also a much better museum in general - it's based in an old docklands warehouse as well.

We had an event there once, the servant's quarters (hi rich  ) downstairs is one of the spookiest places I've ever been in.
