Silverback gorilla vs. lion. who will win?
they both live in Africa and are in close distance of each other. Although they've crossed paths many times strangely a fight has never been observed to take place. The lion avoids silverback as prey and silverback does not care about preys because it is herbivore.
However if a fight is to take place, who will win. Silverback is known to be the most powerful primate with enough power to kill dozens of men together within seconds. Very muscular and strong bite force too. weighs around 450 lbs on average. But up to 600 lbs is highest weight recorded

Lion is known for its large body, sharp teeth, sharp claws and surprising agility. weighs 550 to 600 lbs on average, but highest weight recorded is 830 lbs

The lion would win without a doubt. With its razor-sharp claws, aggression, quickness, and predatory nature it would be able to take down the gorilla without much effort. A single lion can take down a wildebeest or zebra with ease, and both of these animals are of similar size (and often larger) than a silver-back. When sharp-set by hunger, male lions have even been known to take down buffalo bulls, compared to this animal a gorilla is nothing. This is a very one-sided affair, it is not even worth discussing.
A leopard, in my opinion, would be a more proper match-up for a gorilla.
