I went to the Hofbrauhaus many years ago which I know most Munchenistas wouldn't be seen dead in coz it's so touristy.

My favourite is by Max Weber Platz (not actually that far from Marienplatz) Hofbraukeller - fantastic garden there as well if the weather is nice
