down to him. Can't fault him for not hiding but imo Podolski would have have had a field day (apologies for the americanism) if he'd started.

Don't underestimate just how **** Reading were today. If this gives him confidence then good but for me he's still a never-will-be, I could still count on one hand the amount of times he made a clean contact with the ball.

Modd bought up other games first to defend him. Fact is even in his "superb" game I can remember him completely mis-kicking a shot and dragging it horribly wide and shooting straight at the keeper/defender on a couple of occasions.

I naturally hope things turn around for him but I would put my house on it not being the case. I'm sure if you gave grant holt 50 games for us he could manage at least 9 goals too, doesn't mean we're all clamouring to sign him. Reading were so poor today I'd fancy myself to get on the score sheet.
