As long as one of the three makes sure he holds when the other two go forward, why wouldn't it work?
They can all drive past people, all can get into the box, all have a decent final ball. Our 2nd goal yesterday came from a Santi tackle in the RB position.
I openly admit I know f**k all about football, and there's bound to be a decent reason. It's just I can't see it.
They've all got football brains, and with a bit of discipline, they could all learn when to hold and when to drive forward.
Also, the triangles of those 3, each with the ability to skip forward and take two players out of the game in the blink of the eye, has the potential to be a top-drawer MF.
Pirlo can play the holding 3/4 role - why not Jack or Tommy alternating?
