Dropping TV5 and leaving Sczezny home in such a public fashion. He has frozen out key, outspoken players before (Jens comes to mind) and has shipped out players we thought were legends (Viera) when he thought we had gotten enough out of them. Even Theo had to work hard to get himself back in the first team early this season.
I still think Sczezny will be an outstanding keeper, and I do not mind TV5 as one of four very good CBs. But they have both been beyond subpar in recent months, seemingly without consequences. That was the kick in the bottom everyone in the team needed for the final stretch of the season. Shows that no one is irreplaceable and everyone has to fight to be in the team.
Expect a thorough clear-out this summer...
