View Full Version : Maybe we did ok last night as the pressure was off. And nobody expected us to win.

Same thing happened last year against Milan.

When the pressure is on we 'choke'

they are capable of, which was because they had a seemingly comfortable lead until the last few minutes.

We scored a rather fortunate early goal which effectively gave us hope for the rest of the match (even if Bayern were to have scored we'd have still been in the match).

We were set up well and didn't leave ourselves vulnerable.

I actually thought we were pretty appalling going forward for most of the night.

No arguments whatsoever about the overall outcome of the two legged tie. In the first leg they had a sustained period where they utterly outclassed us and played us off the pitch, at no stage in 180 minutes did we do that.

Lots of huff and puff, glorious failure. What one has come to expect from us.

I did think Giroud had contrived to miss it for a split second

To have scored so early must have been Arsene’s dream start.

Nothing fortuitous about the actual move.

Although as I started watching the replay I did wonder where Theo was going to get the room to cross.
