'I tell you what Clive, that's a smashing ball'

Even if he were sitting at home watching the match with Clive, and not commentating on TV, it would be odd

a comma etc. Maybe at the end of every sentence, but that's pretty much it.

You proved me to be quite correct. Thank you, H. Very kind :-)

definitions for the word Rich, not just the one that concurs with your own rather misguided view.

Brentwood used the verb, quite correctly, in its descriptive rather than definitive form. We can even make up our own examples to help you out here. "His life was punctuated by a series of mishaps" for example. See if you can think of one too!

You seem to frequently grasp at the literal R. You're not mildly aspergic by any chance?

Fwiw, I still think I'm 100% correct but think it's a rather trivial thing to argue when I'm so tired/sober.

A perfectly acceptable use of the word Punctuate.

But it's not right even though it's a widely used term.

correct given she lives with someone with the disorder but when I looked it up later that evening I was shocked to see she was wrong.

As there is no need for him to emphasise who he is talking to by adding "Clive" since there are only two people there.

your posts these days unless you're replying to me so I couldn't say if you do, though. Maybe you do know how.

The visible bit in the subject line is enough to tell me the sensible option is not to bother clicking to view the rest.
