I think that he isn't performing to the standard he is capable of.
Our players are all too "nice", and I think that Arsene mollycoddles them far too much. Every now and then, I think that giving them a kick up the arse would do them good.
I realise this goes against everything that the manager believes in.

needed due to a drop in form.

Or do you think he's told Sczeisny he's doing a great job and wants to save him for the big Swansea match?

though he may well have used the term on other occasions.
For the club's media channels to refer to a loss of form would be highly impolitic (not to mention unusual), and I don't believe you are truly endorsing that.

it isn't beyond the the club's media people to get a quote from the manager

improbable football comebacks ever.
What I'm saying is there's a chance.

And anyway, "rested" may be closer to the truth than "dropped". Certainly if he plays against Swansea.

Hardly helped that Wenger references all the other players in his press match conference but not Szczesny, a player who has played pretty much every game he has been available for over the past two seasons, certainly this

And dropped is not a good word for keepers to hear, for obvious reasons

Of course, he can only control that to a certain extent, but as soon as he refers to him being dropped or a lack of form then it goes from speculation to fact, and that makes it not only tabloid fodder but broadsheet fodder.

by skirting the issue, you make more of deal of it. Wenger didn't even mention the fact that he was leaving his number one keeper at home in the press conference

or something similar would help
