Now a cynical person would say Chief's been trying for 5 years to find something, anything, bad to say about Obama that has some credibility and can point to a number of issues he raised quite indignantly and that he just happened to find a handy one this time.

Or it could be that Chief is sincere. If he's sincere about the abuse of power of Obama, then I'm sure he'll denounce the holding of prisoners in Gitmo without trial, or the ability to face the evidence against them, the use of "enhanced interrogation techniques" the warrantless wiretapping (unlawful search and seizure ring a bell?) In other words, the 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 8th rights listed explicitly in the Bill of Rights?

Or will he do what he did over the years when these issues were brought up and say "Why do you want the terrorists to win?"

I know which way I'd put my money. I'd put it all on "Chief being outraged, OUTRAGED I SAY, about what Obama is doing, whatever that may be."

get upset with the almost daily extrajudicial executions performed by increasingly militarized police forces throughout the nation. When the minute possibility that Obama might order it on a terrorist pops up, all of a sudden it's 'Hitler this' and 'Stalin that.'

Even Cheney admitted recently that he'd given orders to shoot down civilian airliners on 9/11 yet he's barely even talked about anymore. The better reasons for opposing the Brennan nomination are for his views on torture rather than drones.
