but I choose to have a car as one of the luxuries I can just about afford.
It's these thunder****s who could easily afford a car and would benefit from the convenience of having one, but choose not to to because it jars with their hipster credentials that annoy me.

A car is essential for me, always has been, always will be. Carrying the golf clubs, the cricket bag or the shopping is a pain. Not really a good idea to use either when going out for a session.

And the cost of insurance would have not made it worthwhile. Necessary as soon as you move out of Z2/3 though.
